Anne was a governess in Poyntington in 1841. She later kept Knap House, Milborne Port, as a school. T H Baker of Mere mentions this school in his diaries, as his childhood friends the Moores attended this school. Anne advertises in the Sherborne Mercury, and after her marriage a Miss Good appears to have taken over (one of her executors was a Good!). She died January 1895 Camborne Lodge, Surbiton Hill Park and is buried at Highgate Cemetery. She is named in Miriam Collins's will as her cousin.
